Solar Powered Garden Irrigation Pump
![]() |
The WaterWand solar irrigation pump uses solar power to charge internal batteries. Every 3 hours it starts up, automatically delivering water to your plants through a compatible irrigation system. (see below) The WaterWand will always operate more in bright than dull conditions, so the more water your plants need the more they get. The control knob can be used to alter how much sunshine is converted to pumping power - depending on the needs of your plants - from 2-100% in 5 increments. To prevent over watering and wastage the pump can be fitted with an anti-siphon device - even if your plants are lower than your water butt, irrigation will then stop when the pump goes off. The WaterWand will irrigate up to a metre above the water source. An LED indicator lets you know what the pump is doing. If the LED is pulsing about once per second, the pump is standing by, ready for action. If the LED stays on the pump is running. If the LED flickers there is not enough water available. The LED will stay off if the pump is switched off. The start time of the pump can be reset simply by turning the pump off and back on again. This is useful for monitoring as it will then start again 3 hours later. Another useful monitoring trick is to put a dripper in a jug for 24h to see how much water is being applied. Different irrigation kits are available for different applications. |

Garden Drip Irrigation Kits These are supplied with everything needed to make an irrigation system and connect it to your WaterWand. They are ideal for use with pots or specimen plants. Standard and low rate drippers are available and can be combined on one system to cater for different sized plants. The pump will supply 20 standard rate drippers. A low rate dripper has half the output of a standard one. If one standard dripper is removed it can be replaced with two low rate drippers if desired. |

Seephose irrigation kits Seephose sweats water out along its entire length. It is ideal for use on beds and rows. If required it can be concealed beneath a mulch. In the kitchen garden it is easily moved from row to row so that you can water the plants that need it most. If you don't want to spend time moving the irrigation, put multiple systems in and simply connect the pump to which ever you want. The pump will supply up to 5m of seephose at one time. |

Driphose irrigation kits Driphose is a tube with water emitters inserted every 300mm. It is useful where longer rows need watering as the WaterWand can supply up to 10m at one time. For rows of germinating seedlings the seephose is better as there are no dry gaps along its length. |
