Evolutia WaterWand solar garden irrigation development participation agreements
What are they?
Agreements between Evolutia Ltd and its development partners - mostly, but not exclusively, amateur gardeners.
What are they for?
In 2009 they were used to perfect the design of the WaterWand Heliomatic range. In 2010 the aim is to gather the information needed to write information sheets on how to get the best possible results from using solar irrigation in a range of different situations and localities. The trials carried out are not scientific, but will benefit from a wealth of different experiences.
What is in it for participants?
- Heliomatic 130 pump and irrigation kit, but also extra kit and the technical help necessary to resolve any problems encountered with installation or operation.
- A £20 refund on the return of a completed feedback form.
- £10 refund on receipt of digital images showing progress..
- A guarantee that the equipment supplied will carry out the agreed job for a minimum of 2 years. Evolutia will not agree to any project it believes to be beyond the capacity of the kit. If a problem cannot be resolved you will qualify for a full refund.
What is in it for Evolutia?
- Great information sheets.
- Information relating to the real life experiences of our customers.
- A better understanding of what customers are likely to do with their WaterWands.
- We can carry out many more trials over a larger geographical area than we ever could in house.
- In 2009 we got great testimonials before we even launched the product.
- Better customer interaction.
- Believable publicity material, proper photo's - not the staged pictures you often see.
Why do I have to pay to participate?
- We want to work with people who are genuinely interested, not just after a freebie.
- We can do far more development work enabling us to produce better information sheets more quickly.
What are the development topics?
This year (2010) we are trying to find the most successful ways of using WaterWand compatible irrigation for a range of different uses. This is so that we can write better information sheets so that everyone can make the most of their WaterWand kits. Take a look at the bullets below to see if there are any you would like to take part in.
- Hanging basket irrigation
- Ornamental pot garden watering
- Vegetable pot garden irrigation
- Allotment watering
- Plant/tree establishment
- Greenhouse watering
- Raised bed irrigation
- Wild card - This is to accommodate any brilliant ideas we haven't thought of. For example one of last years participants is investigating the use of a WaterWand to prevent the wooden decks cracking on his traditional Greek fishing boat.
What does it cost?
£79, but refunds of £20 on return of a completed feedback form and £10 for sending in digital images of different stages of growth.
Are there limitations to participation?
Yes, when there are enough participants in a given category it will be withdrawn. Likewise if there is not enough time left to get sensible results categories will be withdrawn. Special circumstances will be considered on an individual basis. Participation is not limited to any particular country or region.
